“Sunday musings”
Goings On:
Testing this AI art generator for fun- There has been a growing interest in AI-generated art, with many artists, designers, and engineers exploring the creative potential of machine learning algorithms. However, as AI art generators become more sophisticated and widely used, it is important to evaluate their performance and reliability. I’ll be honest, some of the images generated are down right scary(enjoy the image below). It did generate an image that I REALLY adore, and I’ve used it on the front page of my blog. Just don’t, for the love of kittens, ask it to generate anything involving hands.
My boot camps introductory course- I applied for a scholarship for Practicum through Women Who Code. It starts on February 15th, and I’m working on completing the intro course before then. I truly love this platform. I honestly can’t say enough good things about it. Its mainly text-based, with optional videos, which is definitely my speed. You get communication, read theory, receive requirements, and then implement the code with help from the curriculum. However, you are not completely held by the hand, which is a plus. The community is active and engaged. I’m fairly comfortable with HTML and CSS but I feel as if I’ve learned a lot in just the intro course.
My UX course that I’m taking through Interaction Design Foundation. The course covers design thinking. I believe that design thinking can lead to more effective problem-solving and better outcomes for individuals, organizations, and society as a whole. I’ve really enjoyed studying ui/ux design. If I could turn back time to 2020…well, I wouldn’t. I do wish that I had studied ui/ux sooner though. I’ve found that I had a passion for accessibility and user experience and an eye for good and bad design long before I gained a deeper understanding of what it truly meant.
That’s it for now. May your Monday not Monday too hard.
