Why I Quit Practicum to Pursue UX Design and App Development

Making the decision to quit something that you have invested time and energy in can be difficult, but sometimes it's necessary to prioritize what truly matters. This was the case for me when I decided to leave my boot camp to focus on my passion for UX design and app development.

At the start of Practicum, I was excited about the opportunity to gain practical experience in my field. However, as time passed, I realized that the program did not align with my career goals. I found myself more interested in UX design and app development, and I wanted to invest my time and energy into these areas. Practicum did not allow me the time to pursue what I wanted to, professionally or personally.

It was an unexpected turn that I felt was best for me. Continuing with the program did not make sense to me for a number of reasons, which I don't feel the need to explain. Ultimately, I had to prioritize my personal and professional growth and take ownership of my career path. I will still dabble in the web development space, as I still enjoy it.

Quitting the program was not easy, and I had to weigh the pros and cons carefully. However, I realized that staying in the program would only hold me back from pursuing what I truly wanted to do. It was a scary decision, but I knew I had to take the leap to move forward.

Sometimes, it's necessary to make tough choices to grow and achieve your goals, regardless of the fear of letting people down or worrying about what they may think.
