“Why I’m Studying UX Design Along With Development”

I’m on a ux design kick today and I want you to know about it :)

Even if you have never heard of UX design, you’ve definitely seen and had to deal with good or bad design. What exactly is UX design, and why should you care about it? Well, let me tell you, my dear friend, that UX design is the secret sauce that makes software not only functional but accessible and downright delightful to use.

Think about it: have you ever used a website or app that made you want to throw your computer out the window? Maybe the buttons were too small, the font was illegible, or the navigation was as confusing as a Rubik's Cube. That's where UX design comes in.

UX design is all about creating a seamless and enjoyable experience for users. It involves understanding the user's needs, behavior, and preferences and using that knowledge to create designs that are intuitive, easy to use, and aesthetically pleasing. And as an aspiring software developer, I have a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of my users by incorporating UX design into my work.

But why should you care about UX design? Well, let me break it down for you:

  1. Accessibility: UX design is all about making your software accessible to as many users as possible. By considering the needs of users with disabilities, such as visual or hearing impairments, you can create software that is usable and inclusive for everyone.

  2. Functionality: Aesthetics are important, but let's not forget the importance of functionality. Good UX design ensures that your software not only looks good but also works well and is easy to use.

  3. User satisfaction: At the end of the day, your users are the ones who will be using your software. By creating a positive user experience, you can increase user satisfaction and even turn users into advocates for your product.

And this isn’t just for digital products. This can be anything that someone is using:

At the end of the day, incorporating UX design into your work as a software developer is all about making the products that you build as accessible and functional as possible. And who doesn't want to be the hero who saves their users from the dreaded experience of throwing their computer out the window?
